The Caring Community at 20 Washington Sq. N. hosted Village Crafts Americana, an exhibition of 59 crafters, from Feb. 27-29. The crafters included seven seniors from the Caring Community, with most of the others from the Village. The exhibition was a fundraiser for the Caring Community; there were several raffles of crafters’ items and a percentage of each sale was donated to the Caring Community. Above, at left, Ronnie Ivens, a Caring Community member, sold a variety of crafts she made, including potpourri and old neckties treated with soothing herbs and fashioned into eye wraps. At right, Tripti Thomas sold handmade brooches and accessories.
