Diether does books; watch out Amazon

Village resident Doris Diether is selling off her private collection of books that she and her late husband collected over the years. Diether, a longtime member of Community Board 2 and a zoning specialist, has accumulated 99 storage cartons of mixed-category books including music, fiction, science fiction, literature, Shakespeare, cinema and drama. Diether is selling the books as she feels “overloaded” by the magnitude of her collection. The books went on sale three weeks ago and the announcement has already had a positive response. “I’ve just sold 15 books to someone who called today,” Diether said.
