News Dog who posed with Victoria's Secret Angel Barbara Fialho up for adoption By ALISON FOX firstname.lastname@example.org January 3, 2016 3:54 PM Print Share fbShare Tweet Email Ronny is 8 years old and this pit-bull has experienced a lot in his lifetime -- he’s been abused, neglected, saved, and even got to pose with a Victoria’s Secret model for a holiday shoot. Now, after being rescued from a neglectful owner -- who pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges -- Ronny is ready for a new home. Photo Credit: ASPCA Ronny was rescued in August when police were called to Azer Azizov's Manhattan Beach home in Brooklyn. The mother of Azizov's child had called them when she noticed the dog covered in blood, with cuts all over his body, according to the criminal complaint. She apparently told police Azizov would kick Ronny and kept him locked in his car to sleep. And when police arrived, according to the complaint, they found dried blood in the back seat as well as a bowl and dog food. He pleaded guilty in November to overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, or failure to provide proper sustenance, according to the ASPCA, and is expected back in court on Jan. 25. Attorney information for Azizor was not immediately available. Photo Credit: ASPCA Ronny is already the envy of many men in the city: He got to pose alongside Victoria's Secret Angel Barbara Fialho. "Ronny has had a fantastic transformation. When he first came to us, he had horrible skin issues and was almost hairless. Now his coat is luxurious," Joanne Langman, an ASPCA animal behavior counselor, said in a statement. "Don't let his size fool you. He is an 80-pound couch potato. Most of the time I find him lounging upside down on the bed in his kennel. When he's not napping he does enjoy a calm walk outside which makes him a pretty good fit for a New York City apartment." Ronny loves to say hello to other pups, and likes to stick by your side when you're out for a walk. He already knows how to sit on command. To adopt Ronny, visit his adoption page at ASPCA.org.
