The mayor made the announcement in a video published Thursday morning titled "Working People First," but news of his plans had already broke on Wednesday evening, and folks on Twitter were there to deliver the laughs. "Bill de Blasio" became the top trending Twitter topic in the New York City area within an hour and more tweets were pouring in Thursday morning. "Dear Bill De Blasio: No. Stop it," one user wrote.
