A Times Square staple is celebrating Halloween with some special performances that are geared towards the holiday next week.

Ellen’s Stardust Diner, located at 1650 Broadway, will host “Halloween on Broadway” the entire week leading up to Halloween. Servers will be dressed up in costume all week long and on Oct. 30-31, the singing wait staff, The Stardusters, will perform favorite Halloween songs live for patrons.

Each day will have a family-friendly show at 6 p.m., followed by a show catered to those 16 years and older at 8:30 p.m. Patrons must make a reservation through Yelp to attend. Guests unable to make a reservation can join the waitlist on Yelp, a feature which has allowed the always busy Ellen’s Stardust Diner to reopen safely under a reduced capacity.

Ellen’s Stardust Diner will also hold their annual costume contest for patrons this year. Contestants can submit photos of themselves in their costumes at www.ellensstardustdiner.com/halloween. Winners will be chosen during the two nights of performances on Oct. 30-31.

“We encourage Broadway character costumes but we’d love to see all kinds of costumes for our contest and celebrations,” said Scott Barbarino, Artistic Director at Ellen’s Stardust Diner. “Halloween has always been one of the most fun times of year at Stardust and we are happy that we’re able to still safely enjoy the holiday this year.”

Prizes include gift certificates to Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Winners do not have to be in attendance to win, but their photo will be included in a slideshow of submissions.
