Hard bop trumpeter Jim Rotondi, who recalls the style of Freddie Hubbard and Lee Morgan, celebrates the release of his new CD, “Dark Blue,” which reflects on his world-spanning career that has taken him from his boyhood home in Montana to New York, Tokyo, Austria, and the south of France.
