A 15th anniversary concert for one of the Tompkins Sq. Park riots last weekend in the park drew a young crowd who moshed to hardcore rock bands, like Leftover Crack. “Everybody was like 20 and it made the rest of us feel really old, but it was fun,” said veteran East Village activist John Penley. Attorney Lynn Stewart, recently cleared of some of the charges of abetting terrorism filed against her by Attorney General John Ashcroft, spoke at the concert. Penley plans to deejay for Stewart’s birthday party next month.
