The 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, taking place Apr. 25 through May 7, 2006, is looking for 2,000 volunteers to assist in its 5th annual event.
“We’ve had volunteers that come back every year,” said Tammie Rosen, a festival spokesperson.
Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of three shifts throughout the festival, as well as a mandatory volunteer orientation session prior to the opening day. Some of the areas in need of volunteers are box office, hospitality, merchandise, press and tech.
Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro created the Tribeca Film Festival in 2002.
There will be two information sessions at Tribeca Cinemas for those who are interested in volunteering, and still have questions that need answers. They will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13th and Monday, Feb. 27th.
