Former news anchor Connie Chung wiped some lipstick off actor Lucy Liu’s face as the pair appeared to be best buddies at a gala event for the Museum of Chinese in America in December at Capitale. Liu also greeted Councilmember John Liu, who on Jan. 1 becomes the first Asian-American to hold citywide office when he takes over as city comptroller. The Lius are not related but they were both raised in Queens and the new comptroller does know the actor’s father.
