The Lucille Lortel Theater was vandalized on Sun. Feb. 5 when a suspect whom police sources have identified as Ronald Fox kicked in the doors of the location, causing over $3,000 of damage to the theater’s glass doors. Fox, a 42-year-old homeless white male, was seen walking down Christopher St. between Bleecker and Hudson Sts. at approximately 8 p.m. Police arrived and arrested Fox, charging him with criminal mischief in the second degree. Geoffrey Shubart, the theater’s associate general manager, said he did not know why Fox had kicked in the windows, but police sources say Fox may have been intoxicated.
