A samurai sword performance, Japanese folk dance and making rice cakes will be among the activities at the Japanese New Year celebration sponsored by the Japanese Parenting and Family Center on Sun., Jan. 18 at the Sol Goldman 14th St. Y.
The event, from 1-5 p.m. at the Goldman Y, 344 E. 14th St., will also include origami folding, Japanese calligraphy, arts and crafts as well as games for children.
