A line-up of queer musicians from New York City are playing in Brooklyn as a part of a monthly showcase next week.

On July 28, The Troubadour Lounge will host a show at 3 Dollar Bill, located at 260 Meserole Street in Brooklyn, that will provide a platform for emerging queer voices.

Originally founded in 2018, the Troubadour Lounge has fostered an intimate culture of house shows to provide a platform for the city’s queer voices in the entertainment space with an evolving, diverse, and heart-centric community through curating dependably quality performances each month. The show has since grown to host its monthly showcase at a number of nightclubs and venues across the city, including Club Cumming, Bowery Poetry Club, Bedlam, and Branded Saloon.

“The Troubadour Lounge is a living breathing incubator of the city’s best emerging queer musicians. There is no freedom to explore and create without first the knowledge that you are safe to do so,” said musician Siv Disa.

This month’s line-up includes Michael Love Michael, Prince Johnny, MEDUSA, and CHATTERBOX.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and are available at eventbrite.com.
