Robbed hotel guests

An Atlanta couple and their 9-year-old daughter were returning to their room at the Hilton Millenium, 55 Church St., shortly before 9 p.m. Fri. April 13 when they were followed into the elevator by a man who got off with them at the 40th floor, followed them to their room, pulled a silver handgun and forced his way inside, police said. The robber, described as a white man about 25, stocky build, 5’7”, handcuffed the couple, bound the girl with tape, and took cash, an emerald ring, two laptop computers, their ATM card and forced them to divulge the card PIN number before fleeing, police said.

The girl broke free after a half hour and phoned a desk clerk who summoned police. An unauthorized withdrawal of $700 from the couple’s bank account was discovered later, police said.

The robber was wearing a black pea coat, blue jeans, brown shoes and was carrying a black North Face back pack, police said.
