Pompei erupts with music

A free concert by 60 young musicians from Pompeii, Italy, last Wednesday had been planned to take place in the open air in Father Demo Square. But because of inclement weather, the musicians played inside Our Lady of Pompei Church. The students had wanted to do something for the church that bears their town’s name and which was founded to minister to the Village’s Italian immigrant population.
