With tensions high over the possibility of a U.S. attack on Iran, United For Peace and Justice organized an unusual “FREEZE” protest in Grand Central Station last Thursday. During evening rush hour, more than 100 people suddenly froze in place in the middle of the terminal. Protesters wore signs reading, “No Attack on Iran,” and black T-shirts with “Arrest Bush” on the front. On the shirts’ backs was printed Article 2 Section 4 of the Constitution — the procedure for impeachment. As commuters rushed by, the protesters stood still for five minutes. Afterward, they let out a cheer, then chanted, “No attack on Iran!” Above, three Iranian students chanting after the silent protest.
