Randolfe Wicker, the gay rights advocate turned leading cloning activist, hailed the recent news of the successful creation in South Korea of 30 blastocysts using human eggs as proof that the human cloning is possible.
Wicker, who ran an antique light shop on Hudson St. for years until closing shop last summer, said the breakthrough “makes the birth of a child conceived through cloning inevitable.”
“The rhetoric of those opposed to all cloning…threatens to undermine America’s leadership role in both science and medicine,” said Wicker.
