Super soup kitchen

Mark Gastineau’s loyalty may still lie with the Jets, but the former Sack Exchange member was not above calling attention to the New York Giants’ appearance in Sunday’s Super Bowl — provided it was for a good cause. The retired Jet passed out Sancocho de Gallina soup donated by celebrity Tribeca chef David Bouley Tuesday at the New York City Rescue Mission in Lower Manhattan as part of the homeless shelter’s “SOUPer Bowl Week” event to raise attention for the plight of the homeless. Clients, thankful for a hot meal, ate the soup quickly, apparently unaware it was gourmet grub. The Mission will be serving pizza donated by Adrienne’s Pizza Bar for the big game against the Patriots.
