Cops now have a name and a face of the suspect wanted for allegedly raping a woman in Central Park on Sunday.
The NYPD released a photo Tuesday of Omar Hoist, 32, who they say raped a woman during the early morning hours. Hoist allegedly approached the victim near 88th Street and Fifth Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday, and the two began talking. Eventually they entered the park at 100th Street, walked along the bike path and sat on a bench, police said.
Hoist allegedly became violent, took the victim to a grassy area and raped her. The victim was able to run away and went to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
