The Downtown Little League’s all-star tem of 9 and 10 year olds lost to Inwood Sunday in a tournament game, but the team is having one of its best tournament showings in the history of the league, beating West Side and East Harlem last week. The Downtowners are still alive in the double-elimination contest with a big game Thursday, July 20. Above Downtown’s Adam Kester, places the tag on a close play at third against Inwood. The runner was called safe. Shortstop Sean McGowan makes the throw to first, middle left, pitcher Jack Hatton fires it in, below, and Aren Gallagher slides into third, bottom left.
