Friends threw a going-away party on March 13 for Betty and Fred Rinckwitz, who are leaving the Village for Alabama, where Betty has family. Betty is the outgoing president of the Perry St. Block Association. A Village native, Fred grew up in the house the couple lived in at Perry and Bleecker Sts. Others at the party at St. John’s in the Village included Sharron Brodsky, Patricia Buzzuro, former Community Board 2 Chairpersons Jim Smith and Carol Feinman and C.B. 2 staff members Julio Mora, Florence Arenas and Gloria Harris.
