lifeguarding lessons
A 5 week/13 session, all-inclusive course that teaches the skills and knowledge needed by professional lifeguards to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies at swimming pools and waterfront facilities. All required lifeguard, CPR and first aid skills will be taught. Participants will receive certification upon completion of the course. Must take and pass swimming test. Tues/Wed/Thurs., April 12, 13 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 and Wed/Thurs May 3, 4, 10 & 11 from 7-10pm. Must be 15 by end of course. $25 for pre-test, $275 for remainder of course. early spring kids’ gardening
A weekly after school gardening program that introduces the joys of gardening to 2nd thru 5th graders. Held outdoors, Children’s Gardening educates as well as entertains. Botany, biology and agronomy figure in the simple and fun science lessons and hands-on demonstrations that accompany planting, cultivation and harvesting instruction.
