Brooklyn man cuffed for shooting another man to death last month: cops

A Brooklyn man was arrested for allegedly shooting another man to death last month.

Police say that at 10:22 a.m. on Feb. 21, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in front of a residence on Herzl Street near Sutter Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found 38-year-old Lineton Brown, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to his torso.

EMS rushed Brown to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On March 23, police arrested 41-year-old James Johnson. He was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm) and criminal possession of a firearm.

At this time, it is not clear what the motive behind the shooting was.
