A man is in custody after a 77-year-old woman was found dead in her Brooklyn apartment.
At 10:05 p.m. on Jan. 13, officers from the 66th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an assault at an apartment on East 7th Street near Ditmas Avenue in Kensington. Upon their arrival, officers found Marie Louis, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to her head.
EMS rushed to the location and declared Louis dead at the scene.
Louis’ son, 36-year-old Arnel Henry, was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment and observation. He was later arrested and charged with murder, however the NYPD confirmed that he is still admitted to the hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing.
