Detectives in Queens are on the hunt for the sharp-dressed man accused of stabbing a subway rider late on Saturday night.

The NYPD released on Monday afternoon images of the perpetrator sought for the bloody attack at the Hunters Point Avenue station on the 7 line in Long Island City, near the corner of 21st Street and 49th Avenue, at about 11:05 p.m. on May 24.

Law enforcement sources said the suspect approached the victim, a 26-year-old man, at the mezzanine level of the station and went on the attack, stabbing him in the stomach.

The motive for the stabbing remains unknown and under investigation. Police sources said Monday it is not known if the victim knew his attacker.

Following the assault, cops said, the assailant fled the scene.

The incident was reported to the 108th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 20. Despite being wounded, however, the victim refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The images police provided Monday showed the suspect wearing sunglasses, a black suit, and a matching shirt and tie while walking through the station turnstile and carrying a Five Below shopping bag.
