Police are looking for the perp who stabbed a man in Manhattan after he had confronted the suspect for urinating in public on Wednesday.

According to the investigation, the suspect was relieving himself in front of 63 Downing St, when the 27-year-old told him to stop at around 4:12 p.m.

That intervention caused a brief dispute between the two men, before the perp brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the right side of his stomach, cops said.

Paramedics shortly arrived on the scene and rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for treatment of his wounds.

The assailant, meanwhile, fled on foot southbound along Varick Street.

No arrests have yet been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The 6th Police Precinct, where the attack occurred, had seen just 8 felony assaults between Jan. 1 and Feb. 11, when the most recent NYPD data is available.

Throughout the five boroughs, cops have recorded 2,817 such crimes this year, which marks a slight decline from the 2,848 incidents during the same timeframe last year.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
