Two teenagers were stabbed Sunday evening in Brooklyn during a large gathering that followed the Puerto Rican Day Parade in Bushwick, authorities said.

Police said the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on June 8 near the intersection of Knickerbocker Avenue and Suydam Street, within the 83rd Precinct, a few hours after the annual Knickerbocker Puerto Rican Parade had officially wrapped up.

Officers responding to a 911 call of an assault in progress found a 19-year-old man with stab wounds to the abdomen and an 18-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back near the entrance to Maria Hernandez Park, police said.

Both victims were transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital. As of Monday morning, the 19-year-old was listed in critical but stable condition, and the 18-year-old was in stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released a description of the suspect.

According to police sources, the victims have been uncooperative so far and have not provided details about the attacker.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and the motive for the attack is unclear.
