The organizers of Record Store Day want to make sure the soundtrack for Black Friday will be played on vinyl.
Since 2007, stores around the country have participated in Record Story Day, usually in mid-April, with special vinyl releases of albums and exclusive music merchandise.
In an effort to have shoppers stuffing their stockings with vinyl this season, the minds promoting the annual Record Store Day celebration will release exclusive records on Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year.
