Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton asked about romance on ‘Today’ show

The four judges/coaches of NBC’s “The Voice” yukked it up on “Today” Monday morning in a panel interview taped with co-anchor Natalie Morales last week.

With Season 9’s five “Voice” finalists set to be culled to three Tuesday night, Morales, 43, talked up her fellow network show and then playfully asked personal questions of Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.

“Is it good to just be out in the open now?” Morales asked Stefani, 46, and Shelton, 39, of their new romance, which Stefani’s representative confirmed on Nov. 4. “That was a nice segue!” Williams, 42, jokingly complimented Morales, while Levine, 36, threw out jazz hands and started singing. “Next question! Pleeee-ee-eeeease!” he sang, as the rest of the panel laughed. “Ask the next ques-tion! Before it gets . . . awkward!”

Levine had been on the receiving end of a jibe moments earlier when Morales asked about the much bandied-about “bromance” that he and Shelton share on the show. “If you could put a song to your relationship with Blake, what would it be?” Morales asked.

Shelton quickly interjected. “ ‘That Smell’?” he suggested, referring to the 1977 Lynyrd Skynyrd song not about a literal smell but “the smell of death.”

“You know that song ‘That Smell’?” he continued enthusiastically, turning to Levine — who deadpanned, “No, I do not.”
