Calling all “Hamilton” superfans! Search across the “greatest city in the world” in a “Hamilton”-themed scavenger hunt.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary of “Hamilton,” the play is partnering with New York City Tourism + Conventions, as part of Founded by NYC, to create a scavenger hunt throughout New York City themed around the Tony Award-winning musical. Those who participate will have a chance to win tickets to see “Hamilton” on Broadway.
In order to join the scavenger hunt, you must download the HamApp. In the app, you’ll uncover 12 special places across the city and you’ll have to visit and post photos from at least three different locations to qualify. Locations will be revealed through hints shared in the app and on official “Hamilton” and NYC Tourism + Conventions social channels.
When you find the locations, open the HamApp to unlock an exclusive camera filter tagged with the location’s name so you can snap a pic. Share those photos on Instagram, Twitter/X, or Facebook using the hashtag #HamiltenNYC for your chance to win.
Three winners will be selected over the course of the contest period, with winner announcements taking place on Aug. 11, Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. The winners will receive a pair of tickets to “Hamilton” on Broadway for performances in January – March 2026.
The scavenger hunt will be available though Aug. 24. For more information, follow @HamiltonMusical and @nyctourism on social media.
