Patrons of the ballet will superlove this one.

The Complexions Contemporary Ballet will be putting on a mixed media performance set to the music of the one and only Lenny Kravitz next week at Chelsea’s Joyce Theater.

Titled “Love Rocks,” the ballet will feature hits throughout the many years of the grammy award winner’s career, including ones as recent as 2018.

It’s going to be a performance that’s “elegant, dynamic and wrought with progressive imagery,” according to release from the ballet.

“Inspired by his vision and eclectic musicianship, this full company work will follow Kravitz’s exploration of the eternal human journey where love and understanding takes center stage,” the release continued.

The show also plans to bring “the iconic rock star’s heart and soul to the forefront with intensity, where his lush melodies and retro musical style lay a foundation for passionate storytelling through edgy, athletic and theatrical movement that reaches deep inside as we examine our humanity and its vulnerability.”

Its Thursday, Jan. 23 gala showing will be dedicate and have process go towards Complexion’s educational resources like scholarships and mentoring programs spread throughout six cities, according to the dance company.

Some of those students will also be performing along with the show that evening as part of Complexion’s pre professional program.

It’s those kind of teaching moments that help to inspire the theme of love that Kravitz and the ballet are showcasing.

“Our world needs love more than ever,” the company stated.

The ballet will also be running other programming in addition to “Love Rocks” throughout the remaining weeks of January.

One performance titled “WOKE” will take a multimodal approach to the nation and world’s current political climate, using dance and music to show a “socially conscious one act ballet,” a performance that will incorporate the entire dance company.

Also returning for the ballet is its “BACH 25” show, which is a “A festive, athletic, neo- classical work in the signature style of Complexions” that’s set to the music of Johann Sebastian and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.

Tickets and dates for all of these upcoming performances can be found here.
