VMAs 2016 performers include Britney Spears, Rihanna and more

Celebrities are known to bring their best to the MTV Video Music Awards.

Past performances have gone on to become iconic moments in artists' careers, like Britney Spears' kiss with Madonna and Miley Cyrus' head-turning moves with Robin Thicke.

Who will the take stage at this year's awards show? MTV has released the lineup.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alicia Keys, Fifth Harmony, Kim Kardashian West and Rita Ora will also step on stage to present awards during the show.
