Rescue the Runway: Adoptable dogs, walked by New Yorkers, strut their stuff

The newest addition to your family could be waiting for you this weekend at Rescue the Runway. The event brings a dog fashion show, eats, an open bar and a kissing booth for pit bulls — yes, you read that correctly — to Brooklyn on Saturday.

Mr. Bones & Co., a New York City-based group supporting animal rescues, hosts the event annually to promote rescues and adoptions. Profits from the fashion show will benefit Animal Haven, Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue and Thank Dog Rescue, according to a news release.

Head on over to Berg’n, 899 Bergen St., to meet the adoptable pups, with the event starting at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are still available for purchase at mrbonesandco.org. Check out the canines and humans who will be strutting their stuff at the fashionable event.
