“That’s your dress,” Kimberly Rasmus pointed out to her daughter, Trinity Faith Moran, 11, as a model in a cherry red couture gown walked down the runway at Naeem Khan’s New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday. Moran was in a coveted front row seat, dressed in a miniature version of the same dress, preparing for her own moment in the spotlight.
Just 24 hours earlier, the Texas fifth-grader arrived in New York City for the first time and met the legendary designer, who has dressed, among many, first lady Michelle Obama, and actresses Zooey Deschanel and Eva Longoria. She was in town, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to design a custom dress for his runway show the next day.
