Wildlife Conservation Society photo contest captures NYC animals in their habitats

Voting has begun on the Wildlife Conservation Society’s 2017 calendar photo contest.

Nature-loving photographers captured animals hanging out in their natural habitats at the Bronx, Central Park, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens zoos and the New York Aquarium. The result? Adorable photos of animals cuddling, snacking, playing and more.

Twelve of the remaining 27 finalists will make it into the 2017 calendar. Fans can choose five of their favorite photos, but good luck narrowing it down.

See all 27 and vote for your favorites at blog.wcs.org. The winning photos will be announced later this summer.
