Detectives are on the hunt for a gunman who walked into a Bronx bodega on Friday night and shot a store employee dead.

Cops said the shooting happened at about 6:36 p.m. on Feb. 14 inside the B&A Grocery Deli at the corner of Brook Avenue and East 137th Street in Mott Haven.

According to published reports, the 34-year-old male employee was stationed behind the counter when the unknown gunman walked into the shop and started firing multiple shots. There was no apparent sign of a robbery attempt, and no words were exchanged before the bullets started flying.

The gunman had fled the scene by the time officers from the 40th Precinct arrived. The responding officers found the employee with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Paramedics rushed the man to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have withheld his identity, pending family notification.

The gunman remains at large. An investigation is ongoing.
