Creep smashed his way into Brooklyn apartment and raped woman

Detectives are looking to catch a man who broke into a Brooklyn apartment and raped a 22-year-old woman earlier this week.

Cops said the attack happened at 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the vicinity of Central Avenue and Madison Street in Bushwick.

On Thursday, the NYPD released video footage of the perpetrator, taken inside a bodega on Knickerbocker Avenue. The video shows the creep, at one point, wearing sunglasses and  and dancing for the camera after apparently noticing it.

Police did not indicate whether the footage was filmed before or after the attack.

According to law enforcement sources, the suspect smashed opened a window leading into the victim’s basement apartment, then entered the location. The noise woke the woman, who then spotted the intruder and confronted him.

Authorities said the deviant then dragged the woman into her bedroom, where he raped her. He then grabbed her Samsung S9 cellphone and a wallet containing credit cards and $65 in cash, then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to reports of the attack. EMS brought the victim to Interfaith Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Cops described the rapist as a black man in his mid-20s with a thin build, standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light blue crocheted cap, a multi-colored hooded winter jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue Adidas sweatpants with white stripes, and black sneakers.
