Firefighters worked for nearly two hours to extinguish a fire in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon.
FDNY units arrived at 1227 47th St. in Borough Park just after 2:15 p.m. on March 21 to find fire showing from the roof and cockloft areas. The fire heavily damaged two apartments of an attached three-brick building.
In total, just over a hundred firefighters utilized four hose lines to knock down while firefighters pulled ceilings and exposed hidden pockets of fire. A second alarm was called at 2:45 p.m.
