Would-be crooks try to rob woman at gunpoint in Brooklyn but flee when her son shows up: cops

Cops are looking for a pair of would-be thieves who tried to rob a woman at gunpoint in her Brooklyn home.

According to police, at 10 a.m. on Feb. 4, two unknown men forced their way through the front door of a residence located in the vicinity of Boerum Street and Union Avenue. Once inside, the suspects pointed a gun at the 48-year-old woman inside and demanded property.

The victim’s 17-year-old son heard the disturbance and when he came out of a rear bedroom, the suspects fled the scene empty-handed. No injuries were reported as a result.
