Police released surveillance images and video of a man wanted for an alleged attempted robbery of a father and son in Midtown Manhattan.

The incident occurred inside an apartment building at 410 West 48 St., according to officials. On Sunday, Feb. 2, around 6 p.m., a 64-year-old man and 41-year-old man, who are father and son, brought groceries into the lobby and left them there for a “brief moment,” police said.

When they returned, the two men encountered an unknown man allegedly trying to take the groceries, along with packages left in the lobby, police said. A struggle ensued, and the would-be thief allegedly pushed the older victim against a wall, then fled in an unknown direction without any property, according to a police report.

The victim sustained pain to his back, according to officials, but refused medical attention at the scene.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man, who is wanted for attempted robbery in the Midtown North Precinct, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, or for Spanish dial 888-57-PISTA, visit the Crime Stoppers website or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
