Detectives in East Harlem need the public’s help in finding two shooting suspects who killed a man in a gang-related hit at a public housing complex last month.

The NYPD released on Feb. 2 images of the perpetrators sought for the murder of John Dubois, 25, at the Carver Houses located at 50 East 102nd St. on the night of Jan. 13.

Officers from the 23rd Precinct and NYPD PSA 5, in responding to a 911 call, found Dubois unconscious and unresponsive at the location with a gunshot wound to his head.

A preliminary investigation found that, moments earlier, an unidentified man walked up to Dubois, displayed a gun and fired the fatal shot. The perpetrator then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Dubois, who lived on Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn, was pronounced dead at the Carver Houses that evening by responding EMS units. Sources familiar with the investigation said that the victim had been known to the NYPD as being connected with gang activity, and had a prior criminal record.

Law enforcement sources said the two shooting suspects were captured on camera about two blocks away from the crime scene moments before Dubois was shot dead. It’s not clear, at this point, which individual may have pulled the trigger, sources familiar with the case said.

The NYPD described one of them as a man with a medium complexion and a thin build who was last seen wearing a blue-and-black The North Face bubble jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Police said the other perpetrator was a man with a light complexion and a thin build who wore a black winter hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black vest, gray sweatpants and black-and-white Nike sneakers.
