Cops are looking for a suspect who was caught on camera slashing a man at a West Village subway station.
According to police, at 8:05 p.m. on Feb. 27 an unknown man and a group of three men made incidental physical contact as they passed on a stairway leading to/from the A/C platform at the West 4th Street station. A dispute ensued, resulting in one man from the group throwing a drink can at the suspect.
The suspect then pulled out a large knife and menaced the group, ultimately slashing the drink-throwing man in his left hand. The suspect then fled the scene on a northbound A or C train. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene.
