Three in custody after homeless man was found dead with head injury in Queens (UPDATED)

The NYPD is investigating the death of a homeless man who was found with a head injury in Queens on Sunday.

At 9:03 a.m. on Feb. 2, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious person at 94-54 Lefferts Blvd. in South Richmond Hill. Upon their arrival, officers found 27-year-old Pawandeep Singh on the front porch of the location, unconscious and unresponsive, with an injury to his head.

EMS rushed to the location and declared Singh, who is listed as homeless, dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

A 25-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman were taken into custody at the scene. Charges are still pending against them at this time. The NYPD has officially ruled Singh’s death as a homicide. 

The investigation is ongoing.
