A Republican Party debate guide: Read this before you tune in to the GOP's big show

If the recent past is our guide, Wednesday night's Republican Party debate should be full of political fireworks.

Millions of people are expected to watch the CNBC broadcast as more than a dozen candidates battle it out for attention as they bid for the party's presidential nomination.

The broadcast from Boulder, Colorado, starts at 6 p.m., with four of the lowest-polling candidates; at 8 p.m., expect to see Donald Trump, Ben Carson and the other leading candidates take the stage.
