When Ronaldo, a pit bull, was found by NYPD officers inside a Bronx apartment he only weighed about 17 pounds, his ribs and backbone clearly visible. Only one month later, the young pup had nearly doubled in size.
Now healthy and a little over a year old, Ronaldo is ready to find a new home.
“Ronaldo experienced a dramatic transformation under our care,” Dr. Alison Liu, a forensic veterinarian for the ASPCA, said in a statement. “It was clear [he] had suffered from malnutrition for a long period of time.”
