AIDS Memorial is coming together in the Village

The NYC AIDS Memorial Park at St. Vincent’s Triangle may be a long name — but it won’t be long until the project is completed. The memorial’s signature trellis has been constructed, and work on the site is continuing toward completion. The Villager has learned that the AIDS memorial will be dedicated, fittingly, on Dec. 1, World AIDS Day. It’s going to be a big event. “They’re going to close the street,” a source told the newspaper, possibly referring to Greenwich Ave.
