After a brief opening ceremony in honor of Stephen Mulderry, basketball players took the court at Hamilton Fish Playground at E. Houston and Pitt Sts. last week for the start of the annual Stephen Mulderry Memorial Game. The league is named for Mulderry, 33, an equities trader who excelled on the Ham-Fish court. He was on the 89th floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower when it collapsed on 9/11. The memorial game is the tipoff of the league’s season. This year’s game was cancelled because of rain.
