Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th Street is going all-out for the holiday season with options for in-store and virtual offerings.

Like years past, the 59th Street store is decking out their windows with holiday decorations. This year, the windows are inspired by the store’s “Give Happy” campaign by incorporating its cheerful colors in a color block design across 5 of the Lexington Avenue windows and an “entry window.” Each window embodies one of the campaign colors and incorporates clever elevated displays composed of everyday objects.

Every window has video walls in the background to provide richer visuals and a special holiday glow, with two of the windows having festive scents like evergreen and peppermint emanating from them. The displays communicate a simple message that brings a smile to the viewers’ faces at the close of a challenging year.

This year, Bloomingdale’s 59th Street location is hosting two new holiday pop-ups that are curated with special items that are perfect for everyone’s holiday shopping lists: the “Give Happy” holiday shop and “The Carousel: Find Your Happy Place” pop-up. The Give Happy shop offers gifts in categories such as Cooking and Entertaining, At-Home Relaxation and Activities, Fun and Games, while The Carousel pop-up has unique gifts from around the world and gifts inspired by the travels of the shop’s curators Matt Hranek and Yolanda Edwards. Both shops cater to those who are looking to treat themselves for the holidays at home.

For those who wish to experience the pop-up shops virtually, have no fear. Customers can shop the Give Happy and Find Your Happy Place shops online with same day or next day delivery options. The 59th Street store also offers contactless curbside pickup for online orders.

This year, Bloomingdale’s 59th Street location is hosting a number of special holiday activations for the season for those who decide to come in-person. One of their newest offerings is the Barefoot Dreams Holiday Palm Tree Lot, which puts a tropical twist on the classic Christmas tree lot. Shoppers who come to Bloomingdale’s can pick up a complimentary mini palm tree with a $100 purchase from the Carousel pop-up. The Barefoot Dreams Holiday Palm Tree lot is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for one more weekend, Dec. 2-5.

Shoppers can record and special holiday message at the new Bloomingdale’s “Share Your Happy Face” booth. Those who upload a message will have a chance at having their message shown on the store’s 3rd Avenue windows. From now until Dec. 12, shoppers can swing by the Holiday Happy Hour Window at Daikanyama from 5 to 6 p.m. Those that purchase the drink special from this to-go window will also get a free holiday gift that changes daily with items such as Cire Trudon cameos, Resore antibacterial face towels, Tony’s Chocoloney bars and more.

Guests who make a $100 purchase can visit the store’s Custom Gift Wrap Station. Wrapping paper can be personalized with a photo of yourself, a loved one or a pet. Shoppers can also get a complimentary hot chocolate from the A Taste of Happy with Ralph’s Coffee cart outside of Polo Ralph Lauren on Dec. 5-6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bloomingdale’s is committed to keeping its customers safe should they decide to come to enjoy the in-store offerings. A full list of their COVID-19 response is available on the Bloomingdale’s website

Bloomingdale’s is also offering virtual events for the public this holiday season as a part of their On Screen series. Among the events include a Holiday Entertaining event with NEST Fragrances on Dec. 11. During this event, NEST founder Laura Slatkin will share her holiday entertaining tips. On Dec. 8, Bloomgindale’s will host a Sips and Sweets event with Designer Jonathan Simkhai and Stylist Jason Bolden.
