Bomb scare

A Bomb Squad investigator examined a suspicious item Monday afternoon near City Hall. The item, which firefighters said was a thermos, turned out to be safe. Police diverted Broadway traffic and closed off the block for over an hour during the investigation. The City Hall subway station was also closed.
