Returning home to Florida from tours of duty in Iraq, three soldiers find themselves in a very different land of sun and sand that has little use for their skills. With big ambitions and no money, Matt, Rick and Oats get together for an “operation” that will either solve their financial problems or destroy their lives. With a focus on the complexities of rebuilding relationships strained by the transition from military to civilian life, “Butterfly Hour” is the inaugural production from The Textile Co., named as a tribute to the small textile business founder (and “Butterfly” playwright) Claude Solnik’s father once ran in Brooklyn.
