‘Butter Body Politic’ artistic performance

by Jessica Posner

You’d better believe it’s butter in this artistic performance of “Butter Body Politic” by artist and feminist Jessica Posner. As the first installment of a new series at Strange Loop Gallery that promotes artists who use performance to showcase different perspectives, “BBP” is Posner’s way of rebelling against being called “a pretty face” throughout her life. Stop by this Thursday evening to check out the artistic performance. And be prepared to never look at butter the same way again. (Thursday, 7 p.m., FREE, Strange Loop Gallery, 27 Orchard St., 347-963-3881,
